“We had taken a stroll down to the river just to put our feet in to cool off and suddenly a screeching erupted from the reeds nearby. 4 cat sized beasts came out and pulsed at us as a unit. Begging us to leave. The sound they made was so unnerving we left as soon as we could.”

“I have heard that the Sadlwanz find a lot of lost jewellry and store it in their caves. Someone should go check it out. Maybe take a knife. Their tails are nasty.”

“The swamp beaver – usually found in swamps or slower rivers – is known for being fast, loud and efficient builders. Usually liking to be left alone, they have known to be great eating.”

Two forms, as a child and as an adult.

The child form has not very strong eyes at the front of their bodies with four stalks on top. A tail that acts as a poisoning defense mechanism. As they grow, the tail drops, and four eyes grow out of the stalks in differing lengths. The original eyes either close or take on more of a sensing role.

Two of the main grown eyes are used as arms for holding things so much so that some of the eyes don’t grow in so much.

They live in schools of 3-9 in holes in lakes and reeds. Coming out into the open to lay eggs, feed on other weeds, find building equipment for their hideouts. They build dams or nests like beavers but will add caves and wings to the dams as defense. Will ram people with their barbs and tails, the adults have a squeal that is almost toxic to most predators. They usually travel and attack in gangs if needed but are lead by the biggest. When the children are grown they will move out to make their own dams further away. Some have taken to building holes underneath trees near the water as well.

They don’t communicate with other creatures outside the squeal of alarm. Their nests are often full of treasure that the beavers fine in the waters.

They get along with traditional beavers but sometimes get territorial.

Huntable for their fishlike meat. And also their fur can be used by tanners.
